© Council for Wisconsin Writers 2015 The Wisconsin Historical Society Press book, Studying Wisconsin: The Life of Increase Lapham, early chronicler of plants, rocks, rivers, mounds and all things Wisconsin, is the 2014 Milwaukee County Historical Society’s Gambrinus Prize winner. The MCHS awards the  honor each year for the best book-length contribution to Milwaukee historiography. More here. May 18 - CWW Winner Receives Pushcart Prize Catherine Jagoe, whose wonderful piece, “A Ring of Bells,” won the Council for Wisconsin Writers’ Kay W. Levin Award for Short Nonfiction also received a prestigious Pushcart Prize: Best of the Small Presses.
